From a small town above the Arctic Circle, award-winning folk artist Abe Drennan captivates audiences as a storyteller, connector, and powerful performer. Honored with the Fan’s Choice award at the NWT Music Awards and a top 10 finalist in “Becoming 2022” at Toronto's El Mocambo, Abe's influence by James Taylor and Bob Dylan is evident in his music, which reflects the common ground we all share.

Abe’s songs deliver vivid reflections on life, addressing present-day issues and capturing complex moments with a relatable touch. His music blends simple truths with hope, offering solace amidst harsh realities. With smooth vocals, raw acoustic performances, and skillful harmonica playing, Abe forges an unforgettable bond with his audience.

Mentored by Lorraine Lawson of Lawson Vocal Studios, Abe is an enthusiastic supporter of the LVS community. He has opened for celebrated artists such as Rose Cousins, Jim Byrnes, Alex Cuba, and Leela Gilday. His debut album, “We All Have a Dream” (2015), was released independently with his former band, ONE, followed by his solo album "The Igloo Sessions" (2019), recorded in the iconic Igloo Church in Inuvik, Northwest Territories.

Abe has performed at the Great Northern Arts Festival (2015, 2021), Folk on the Rocks (2021), and showcased at the NWT Music Awards (2022). He is currently collaborating with Bell Rock Recording in Fort Smith, NWT, and is set to release his new EP, Natural Tendencies.
